Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 1:07 p.m.

Critique of Subsections IV.2.1; .4; .7; .8; and .9: The Committee made it through 4.2.1; 4.4; and 4.7. The comments to Subsection 4.2.1 were to add a couple of sentences for an introduction; add more information to some sections; and changes to some words, phrases, and statements for consistency throughout each report. Stewart will also rewrite a couple of sections and bring those back to the Committee for one more review. The changes to Subsections 4.4 and 4.7 were minimal. The Recommendation changes follow.

Recommendation 4.2.1 E: That entry of course information into the campus-wide computer system be better coordinated between Divisions and the Admissions and Records Office so that delays in enrolling students for continuing education courses can be avoided.

Change to: That the College conduct a campus-wide review of the continuing education course entry to better coordinate the process between Divisions and the Admissions and Records Office.

Recommendation 4.2.1 Q: That procedures for determining transfer credit awarded for technical or military school courses be drafted by the Division of Workforce Development and Education and be made available in written form by the Admissions and Records Office. Such information could be reproduced on the verso of the Course Substitution Form.

Change: Change "Division of Workforce Development and Education" to "workforce programs".

Status of "Final" Drafts of Sections II, III, and V: Section III will be ready for final review by next week. Section II is complete and ready for final review by G. Hall and M. Hall. Blundell and Garrett were absent; therefore, no update was given on Section V. Hummel said that he wanted to get a feel for where each Chair was with respect to the final revisions and that he is pleased that the Committee is at a point to start distributing the reports campus-wide. G. Hall and M. Hall have been reviewing Section VI and will then move on to Section II.

The final process will be: the Chair will send a Committee's revised draft to G. Hall and M. Hall for editing; the Halls will send the edited version, with changes highlighted., to the Chair and Hummel; the Chair, Hummel and the Halls will confer, if needed; and Hummel will authorize the draft to be sent to Scheerer or Boyd to post to the web.

Other Business: Hummel reminded the Chairs of the Subcommittee meetings in the Fall and told them to advise their Committee members to have read their respective sections before that meeting. This will afford the committee members a chance to plead their cases, if any, to the Chair for last minute revisions.

Adjournment: The meeting was adjourned at 3:20 p.m.
