Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 1:08 p.m.

Critique of IV.8.5 a, Fifth Paragraph: The Committee reviewed the rewrite of this paragraph and accepted it with minor changes.

Critique of Subsection IV.5.B, Beginning with "Evaluation and Assessment" (page 6): The Committee added some information, suggested reworking some paragraphs, reorganized some sections and verified names and titles. The following were the Recommendation changes.

Recommendation 4.5 #4: That the Distance Education Advisory Committee consider a way to apply student scores on self-assessment questionnaires to admission and recruitment policies and decisions.

Change: Add "for online classes" to the end.

Recommendation 4.5 #6: That an evaluation of distance learning programs address the integrity of distance learning programs.

Change: Replace the second "distance learning programs" with "student work".

Recommendation 4.5 #7: That the Distance Education Advisory Committee consider a way to apply student scores on self-assessment questionnaires to admission and recruitment policies and decisions.

Change: Make the same as #4, add "for online classes" to the end.

Recommendation 4.5 #8: That the College integrate the SACS and state approved criteria for distance learning programs into the annual Institutional Effectiveness Action Plan.

Change: Delete.

Critique of VI.1 and VI.4: The changes to Section 6.1 were clarification of some statements and rewording of a couple of paragraphs. Following are the Recommendation and Suggestion changes.

Suggestion 6.1.3 a: That the role and function of the Museum Advisory Board be clearly defined.

Change to: That the Board of Trustees establish the role and function of the Museum Advisory Board.

Add Recommendation 6.1.4 A: That the administrative officers' job descriptions in the Employee Handbook be reviewed and revised to reflect all current job descriptions.

Recommendation 6.1.4 A: That a system be implemented that ensures the information in the Handbook and related internet sites is current, complete, accurate, in accordance with current practice and published in a timely manner.

Change to: That a system be implemented that ensures the information in the Employee Handbook and related websites are complete, accurate, in accordance with current practice, and published in a timely manner.

Review Critiquing Schedule: Tomorrow the Committee will critique Section I and will move the critique of Section 6.4 to Wednesday.
