The Children of Benjamin and Delilah Byerly
John Adam Byerly was the third son of Benjamin and Delilah. This photo of his family was probably taken in the mid-1890s. From left to right it includes John Adam Byerly, Ada Byerly, Marietta Byerly, Leola Byerly, S. Sharon Byerly, and Elizabeth Byerly.
William Henry Byerly was the first son of Benjamin and Delilah Byerly. He died at Pittsburg Landing during the Civil War Battle of Shiloh. This tintype was obviously taken before the war. Thanks to Jon Byerly for furnishing the image.
Martha "Mattie" Byerly was the youngest daughter of Benjamin and Delilah Byerly. This picture was taken in Warrensburg Missouri circa 1890, about the time she married James McVey. Thanks to Thomas McVey Short II for furnishing the image.
